Under a Protective Eye
My first post here is by way of introduction. Being ready to begin trading this week, I decided that I needed some kind of base. Rather than a website, a blog seemed a more obvious choice for my requirements. Blogs are fluid and enhanced by change. Like a river or stream, they pick up this and that along the way. My blog will become a place where I will share plans and reflect on experiences.
Recently, I had lunch in a small cafe in Gravesend. Around the counter were hung many curious talisman. Searching through some books to identify them on returning home, I found out that the Turkish amulets are often used to protect a home or business.
Bringing the tarot Empress into this first entry is a way of blessing both this site and my new venture. As well as relating to creative projects, the card can also represent maternal care. The illustration I have made here is based on a friend. Even before having her own child, I identified this card with her, due to her natural instinct to nurture and support others. I hope that this symbol both feeds and keeps my new tarot business healthy, as it casts a protective eye over my blog.

Hey Steven,
Just dropping a line to let you know that I absolutely love your blog. I love the colors used, and I love the artwork as well. Did you create it by yourself? If so... wow!
Can't wait to see more posts from you.
